2019 Holiday Sleep Gift List

best sleep products

Black Friday is just around the corner and my 2019 Holiday Sleep Gifts List is here! Each November I share the sleep related products my clients and I have been crushing on.

These items might be good for you to add to your wish list or to gift to a friend of family member!

1. Hatch Baby Rest Nightlight

This can be used as a nightlight, but, even more importantly, it can be used as a toddler clock.

I don’t recommend using a nightlight in your infant’s room all night, but this little guy is the perfect nightlight for middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. AND, it can transition into a “toddler clock.” I recommend every 2-6 year old have a sleep clock and I’ve been obsessed with this one for the last couple of years. If you’re using this light as a sleep clock, I recommend using red/pink for sleep and green for the wake color.

2. Woolino Sleep Sack

I’m a HUGE fan of using sleep sacks for as long as possible. Not only are sleep sacks safe wearable blankets, they, maybe most importantly, can help keep our toddlers and preschoolers in the crib longer! The Woolino is definitely an investment, but the moms I know who have one swear by it. They are extra long so it can fit your kiddo for a long time and they hold up well.

3. Love to Dream Swaddle

Some babies really don’t like to have their arms swaddled down by their sides, but they also wake frequently because of their startle reflex. This swaddle allows them to have their hands up near their head, but controls the startle movements. A second version has zip-off “wings” so it can transition into a sleep sack.

4. What Do You Do With an Idea?

I stumbled upon this book when I was on a girls trip last weekend. I’m officially obsessed with it and my girls immediately took to the concept of taking care of our ideas. Want to encourage your child to think outside the box? You need to get this book! This is great bedtime reading for your future entrepreneur 🙂

5. Rosie, Revere Engineer

Reading is a LOVED part of our kids’ bedtime routines. We read a variety of books, but a popular set in our house is Andrea Beaty’s collection. We have them all. These stories encourage kids to pursue their passions with persistence.

6. Haakaa Breast Pump

Want your husband to feed a pumped bottle during the night, but don’t want to hook up to the pump in the middle of the night? While you’re doing a night nursing session, hook the Haakaa up to the opposite breast and, voila, you have milk for your husband’s next bottle feed! This little guy was a recommendation from one of my friends after she had her second baby. I have since had many moms rave about it!

7. Marpac Portable White Noise

Last year we stayed in a rented cottage and I forgot to bring our portable white noise machine. Sure enough, our kids popped out of bed after I left the room because they heard me cleaning dishes and they were worried about the unusual sounds. That NEVER happens when we travel with our white nose. I also personally use it at hotels when I travel to NYC to block street noises and it’s amazing. It’s really small and easy to throw in your suitcase or purse.

8. Little Sleepy Head Toddler Pillow

My girls have been using these little pillows for a few years now and I love them. They are a great size for young children, easy to travel with, and hold up for washing. I recommend introducing a toddler pillow at 2 years old. If you buy one, don’t forget the pillow case.

9. Slumber Sloth

A friend of mine posted about this awesome little “lovey” on Instagram recently. She said it’s crazy soft and I love the whole concept. If your little one doesn’t have a lovey yet, check this cute little Slumber Sloth out!

10. Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier

‘Tis the season. I’ve just busted back out my girls’ humidifiers to help one with dry skin and the other with a cold. They will live in their rooms for the next several months. This year I also bought one for my room! We’ve had the most success with this particular model as it relates to avoiding mold which is everything to me.

Happy shopping and cheers to awesome sleep!
