May is Mental Health Awareness Month and this Wednesday, May 4th, is World Maternal Mental Health Day. The purpose of World Maternal Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of maternal mental health issues so that more women will get treated and fewer will suffer. Allison is very passionate about the health of mothers and raising awareness about postpartum depression and anxiety. This week is the start of a 4 week podcast series focused on maternal mental health. In this first episode, Allison shares her own postpartum anxiety and maternal mental health story.

Maternal mental health is such an important topic. If you know an expecting or new mother, we encourage you to check in on them and share this month’s episodes with them. And if you’re struggling, we hope these episodes help you know that you are not alone, that you can get help and you will recover.
