Episode 102

dropped nap

What do you do when your child suddenly decides to stop napping? We’ve got the answer for you today in this Sleep SOS episode.

Earlier this week, Allison asked her Instagram community to submit questions about their child’s sleep. Jessica, a mom of a 4.5 year old boy, is questioning how to address the fact that her son suddenly dropped his nap. You may know from following Allison that the ideal transition away from napping is a gradual one. Jessica’s question highlights one issue with that ideal situation – the fact that the closer your child gets to 5 years old, the higher the chance that they may suddenly drop their nap and not go through the preferred gradual drop.

In this episode, Allison provides her personalized suggestions for Jessica, and addresses how you too can handle this if you’re faced with a similar situation.

Allison refers to Episode 64. Nap, Rest Time or Drop the Nap? Let’s Discuss.
